Step 01: Lash Prep

How to prepare for your lash appointment.

01 — Communicate your expectations. Have a clear idea of what you want to achieve with your lashes and communicate it to us during your consultation. This will help ensure that we are both on the same page to achieve your desired results.

02 — You must remove any current extensions if any and by a professional.

03 — Take the time at home to clean your eyes thoroughly. All traces of makeup should be removed before coming in. The littlest amounts of makeup or residue can have a significant impact on the retention of the lash extensions or the effectiveness of the lash lift. If a deep cleaning is found to be necessary, an additional fee of $10.00 will be charged.

04 — Avoid wearing any creams or makeup on the orbital area for the time of the appointment. This minimizes transfers of oils while we work on your lashes and ensures proper adhesion of anything we may apply on the skin and/or lashes.

05 — Avoid curling your lashes for at least 10-14 days prior to your appointment. Ideally, we want to work with full and healthy lashes to give you the most out of your service.

06 — Avoid drinking any form of caffeine to prevent jitters, sudden jerking, feeling antsy, or urgency to use the bathroom.

07 — Avoid chewing gum during the appointment. This minimizes movement of the face.

Step 02: Lash Aftercare

Lash Extension Aftercare

Proper aftercare is imperative to prolong the longevity of your lash extensions and to preserve your lash line’s overall health. Follow these simple steps that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.

01 — Avoid directly exposing the lash extensions to extreme heat. Sources of extreme heat include hot air from a blow dryer, stoves/ovens, fires (bonfires, BBQ grills, lighters), saunas/hot yoga, and hot tubs (for lengthy periods of time). Exposure to direct heat can singe the lash extensions and/or cause the extensions to lose their curl.

02 — Avoid touching or rubbing the extensions, especially with unclean hands. This can cause an eye infection from cross-contamination. It can also cause the extensions to shed prematurely.

03 — Avoid picking or pulling on the extensions. This causes premature shedding and may create gaps in the lash line.

04 — Avoid sleeping on the extensions as it can change the direction of growth of the natural lash or it can cause the extension to detach from the natural lash. Try sleeping on your back.

05 — Avoid using heavy oil-based products around the orbital area such as waxes and glycerin. Oils are known to break down the binding elements of the adhesive.

06 — Avoid mascara, gel liner, or pencil liner on the lashes/lash line. Lash extensions are not compatible with these products. Substitute pencil liners and gel liners with black eyeshadow powder. Using a liquid liner is also accepted.

07 — Wash your lash extensions regularly with an oil-free cleanser. Cleaning frequently promotes hygiene and retention longevity. Wash every other night if you do not wear makeup and wash every night if you wear makeup. We also encourage you to wash every time after workouts or sweating. After washing, pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel by gently pressing down on the lash line, never against the lashes, and brush through to separate them.

08 — Brush daily or as needed to place the lashes neatly and to help remove anything that may have nestled between the lashes.

09 — Schedule timely refills every two to three weeks.

Lash Lift Aftercare

Aftercare post lash lift is integral in keeping the natural lashes supple and ensures a smooth transition back to your natural lash line over the next 6-8 weeks.

01 — Keep lifted lashes intact for 24 hours (absolutely no wetting, avoid intense humidity).

02 — Brush upwards once an hour for the rest of the day to support the lash lift and keep placement straight until they finish setting.

03 — Avoid sleeping on the lashes to prevent any change in shape and direction. This is crucial because it can permanently alter the intended placement even after the full 24-hour mark.

04 — Avoid aggressive eye products that are difficult to remove such as waterproof mascara.

05 — Condition your lashes with any occlusive (oils, petrolatum) every night after washing your eyes. This will trap the water inside the lash’s cuticles and help keep them supple. We recommend castor oil for its lengthening, strengthening, and thickening properties. Coat the lashes in your occlusive of choice while they are still damp to seal in the moisture.

06 — For an additional nourishing step, apply a lash serum to the roots/follicles. This is especially recommended for short and frail lashes or if you wish to work towards a more intense lash lift in the future.

07 — Implement foods rich in vitamins B and D, or include biotin supplements if it is not contraindicated with any current medical treatment (please ask your physician prior).

08 — Should the lashes drop or change shape within the first 24 hours, please contact us immediately and we will address the situation promptly and accordingly.

Step 01: Brow Prep

How to prepare for your brow lamination appointment.

Ensure that you are well-prepared for your brow lamination service and maximize the chances of achieving the desired results by following the guide below.

01 — Arrive with clean brows. Make sure your brows are clean and free from any makeup, oils, or debris before your appointment. We will need a clean canvas to work with for optimal results.

02 — Communicate your expectations. Have a clear idea of what you want to achieve with your brow lamination treatment and communicate it to us during your consultation. This will help ensure that we are both on the same page to achieve your desired results.

03 — Plan for downtime. The brow lamination treatment will require to remain intact for the following 24 hours after the service. We recommend planning your workouts accordingly and taking a shower prior the appointment to help keep the brow area dry and free from moisture.

04 — Avoid tweezing, waxing, or tinting the brows for at least one week prior to the brow lamination service. Brow hairs need to be at their natural length and shape for us to have the vest canvas.

05 — Avoid drinking any form of caffeine to prevent jitters, sudden jerking, feeling antsy, or urgency to use the bathroom.

Step 02: Brow Aftercare

Brow Lamination Aftercare

Aftercare after a brow lamination is crucial in keeping the natural brow hairs supple. It will also prolong the results of your brow lamination treatment and keep your brows looking their best. Proper aftercare also paves the way to smooth transition back to your natural baseline line over the next 6-8 weeks.

01 — Avoid getting the brows wet for 24 hours after the treatment.

02 — Avoid touching or rubbing the treated brows to allow the setting lotion to fully set.

03 — Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, or other activities that may cause excessive moisture or heat on the brows for at least 48 hours.

04 — Brush the brows regularly with a clean mascara wand or micro-brush to maintain the desired shape.

05 — To maintain the lamination effect, we recommend using a pomade-like product to sculpt the brows and set them in place.

06 — Use gentle movements when cleansing the brow area to avoid disrupting the hairs too much.

07 — After washing the brows, apply a nourishing oil or serum every night as recommended by the brow artist to keep the brows conditioned and healthy.

08 — Avoid excessive sun exposure as UV rays can cause the brow hairs to become brittle.

09 — If any redness, irritation, or adverse reactions occur, consult with the brow artist or a healthcare professional.

10 — Should the brow hairs change shape within the first 24 hours, please contact us immediately and we will address the situation promptly and accordingly.
